Having worked in an independent pharmacy previously, I knew they were places where pharmacy could be practiced in a way that’s different from and better than large chains. Jeff Kirchner was the president of Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin during my first year of pharmacy school and also gave a few lectures to my classes. It piqued my interest that Streu’s was on the cutting edge of pharmacy, and that their goals of patient-centered care aligned with mine.
