It’s August, and that means it’s time to prepare to go back to school! Whether that’s for young kiddos or college students, here are a few simple steps to help your learners start off on the right foot.

UPDATE VACCINATIONS

Double check that vaccines and boosters are up-to-date. Not just for COVID-19, but for all standard vaccinations as well. Your child’s physician can remind you of any shots that are due. Students living in residence halls are also at a higher risk of meningococcal disease. First-time college students should check with their school for vaccine recommendations and requirements.

PRIORITIZE SLEEP HEALTH

Re-establish healthy sleep routines before the school year starts. With our short Wisconsin summers, it’s understandable that we all want to enjoy the extra sunshine and stay up a bit later. However,  a regular sleep and wake schedule can help improve academic performance and reduce stress.

PREP THE MEDICINE CABINET
